Presentation of the website

What is the purpose of Drawana Stories?

The purpose of this website is to educate about history, especially the Victorian era and its dark sides. Drawana does not only want to educate with long texts, but also by "having fun", with the help of illustrations created especially for this.

How does the website work?

Drawana-Storie is a story that follows the misfortunes and adventures of a 19th century family. Each page talks about a different product, you will then find a board illustrating a scenario at the top of it.

Then, below this illustration, there is an explanatory text, accompanied by photos, in order to clearly visualize the theme during your reading. After that, you can see real photos from the old days, in order to prove the real existence of the product, as well as the sources that allowed to write the text.

At the end of the page, you will find one or two buttons, these allow you to follow the story, by going directly to the next page, or to go back, by going to the previous page.

The story being composed of several characters, we have taken the time to introduce them to you, so that it is easier for you to understand the story, as well as the links that these characters have between them._cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

To discover them, we invite you to press the "Characters" button that you will find at the end of the page.

More information

The Drawana-Storie site has a shop. In it, you can find all kinds of items containing the characters from the website, such as key rings, t-shirts, mouse pads, water bottles, etc...

If you enjoy the illustrations and characters in the story, be sure to check it out.

In order to help you in your purchases, I put a "basket" at your disposal. This will allow you to recheck your items before placing an order, or to put them "aside".

This website is not translated into 2, but 3 different languages. French and Dutch being the 2 most spoken languages in Belgium, it is obvious that you will find them here. For the third language, my choice fell on English, which is used throughout the world by hundreds of millions of people. This will make it easier for all users outside our borders to understand the story that Drawana-Stories tells around the dark sides of the Victorian era.

To change the language, it's very simple, you have a "translation" button at the top of the page, you can then choose the one you want, and the whole website will be automatically translated.

If you do not want to see the description of the characters in the story, you can see the first product directly, by pressing the "Story" button at the bottom of the page. You can also select the product you want to see, thanks to the "History" sub-pages in the menu.
