Who am I ?
My name is Léana, I am 20 years old and I am a final year multimedia writing student. Drawing is one of my greatest passions. Also having a great interest in history, especially the Victorian era, I had the idea of embarking on a project: Educating you through my illustrations.
How did the idea come to me?
I noticed that fewer and fewer people are really educated about the history and about the mistakes that our ancestors may have made. I think it's a shame because it's important to know them so as not to reproduce them.
"But why use illustrations?" Will you ask me!
Some time ago, I found a great classic in the store, in manga form. I bought it and thinking about it, I realized that when I was younger, this book would have interested me. Except, if it had been in novel form, I would probably have put it back on the shelf. The novel wouldn't have interested me because I was one of those children/teenagers who didn't like to read if there were no pictures. Reading seemed more boring to me.
In our time, it is much easier to attract the attention of the youngest with images, hence the real success of manga today.
